  • Key points from Presentation:
    • In his lecture sir discussed about cutoff marks for Software companies is 65% and above including primary and secondary education.. He also shared his own experiences regarding CV, which should consist of one or two pages and it includes the family details, exploring the area in which attending workshops/seminars are conducted, specifically three to four lines about their project and also have given suggestions to students for their career point to improve their communication skills, learn the programming languages like C, JAVA and PYTHON etc. Finally, sir concluded that Digital Technologies skill like Cloud Computing, Hadoop and Bigdata Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Machine Learning etc, is very much essential to bridge the gap between industry & Academia .

    Objectives of Seminar:
The aim and scope of this lecture is to provide:

  • Introduction to Blockchain
  • Working of Blockchain
  • Bitcoins Vs Blockchain
  • Public and Private Key Basics
  • Blockchain's Practical Application

  • Key points from Presentation:
    • In his lecture sir discussed about Blockchain technology and how blocks on the blockchain are made up of.He explained about working of blockchain that when a block stores new data how it is added to the blockchain and when a transaction must occur, that transaction must be verified, how that transaction must be stored in a block and how that block must be given a hash.He also added about Blockchain vs. Bitcoin where he explained that the Bitcoin protocol is built on the blockchain. He discussed Public and Private Key Basics and Single Public Chain where the blockchain is not only shared and maintained by a public network of users. He Concluded by giving many Blockchain's Practical Application in Cryptocurrency, Smart Contracts, Supply Chain Use etc.

    Objectives of Seminar:

  • Introduction and description of core concepts of IoT, role and scope of smart sensors for insuring convergence of Technologies and multidisciplinary engineering practices, Machine Intelligence Quotient.
  • Understanding the need for migrating towards software defined networks and integrating time series data from wireless sensor networks.
  • Hardware platforms and operating systems commonly used in IoT systems.
  • Big data predictive analytics and transformation from IT to IOT.
  • Awareness of IoT related cyber legislation.

  • Key points from Presentation:
    • A Guest Lecture on Importance of IoT In Marine Engineering will be mainly designed for theoretical as well as hands on experience using hardware and software. This is a multidisciplinary activity and hence is open to academic and Industry representatives with varied background. It will cover topics like Smart Cities and IoT, Software defined networks, Smart sensors and systems, Computer forensics and IoT related cyber legislation issues.

    Objectives of Seminar:

  • Seminar on Cyber security is the practice of defending computers and servers, mobile devices, electronic systems, networks and data from malicious attacks. It is also known as information technology security or electronic information security. The term is broad-ranging and applies to everything from computer security to disaster recovery and end-user education.

  • Key points from Presentation:
    • The threats countered by cyber-security are three-fold: Cybercrime, which includes single actors or groups targeting systems for financial gain; Cyberwar, which often involves information gathering and is politically motivated; and Cyberterror, which is intended to undermine electronic systems and cause panic or fear. Common methods used by attackers to control computers or networks include viruses, worms, spyware and Trojans.

    Five Cybersecurity Trends:
    1. Targeted Phishing Attacks
    2. Operationalizing GDPR
    3. Managing Managed And Unmanaged Devices
    4. User Awareness
    5. Tracking Shadow IT Inventory

    Objectives of Seminar:

  • The Seminar is on most advance trends in computer science is IoT, Machine learning, cloud computing and Artificial Intelligence. Here are the top five technology trends you need to know to work in any industry.

  • Key points from Presentation:
    • Internet of Things (IOT): One of the biggest tech trends to emerge in recent years is the Internet of Things. Simply put, the Internet of Things (abbreviated IOT) is the idea that all technological devices can be connected to the internet and to each other in an attempt to create the perfect marriage between the physical and digital worlds. How will this impact you? It depends on your industry. How it’s
affecting industries: The really cool thing about IOT is that it’s not only changing the way we do business but also the business models we use to do it. For example, according to Deloitte, flexible consumption models (also known as pay-per-use models) are going become increasingly more popular across all industries as new customer data becomes available.
    • Machine learning Another exciting emerging technology is machine learning, which is essentially a computer’s ability to learn on its own by analyzing data and tracking repeating patterns. How it’s affecting industries: In addition to shaping your day-to-day interactions with friends on social media, machine learning is also changing the way companies do business with customers. According to Deloitte, companies like Google are using machine learning on mobile devices which can continue learning even when offline. The result? Machine learning is reshaping the way businesses interact with their customers in a big way by helping them anticipate and meet customer needs more easily.
    • Virtual reality (VR) Remember watching movies about virtual reality and thinking how cool it would be if it was actually like that in real life? Well, it’s about to be. Although VR has been around since the 1950s, until recently the technology wasn’t able to deliver the fully immersive digital experience users have been craving. That’s about to change with recent improvements to both hardware and programming, and the effects are going to be felt across almost every industry from retail to education. How it’s affecting industries: Virtual reality has been a popular component of video games for several years and this trend is continuing to expand.

  • Knowledge on preparation of CV.
  • Developing programming skills.
  • Exploring more on projects/workshops/seminars.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Positive Mind Set for Students.

  • Key points from Presentation:
    • Machine learning is a branch in computer science that studies the design of algorithms that can learn. Typical machine learning tasks are concept learning, function learning or “predictive modeling”, clustering and finding predictive patterns. These tasks are learned through available data that were observed through experiences or instructions, for example. Machine learning hopes that including the experience into its tasks will eventually improve the learning. The ultimate goal is to improve the learning in such a way that it becomes automatic, so that humans like ourselves don’t need to interfere any more.
    Steps:
    1. Get Your Data, Built-in Datasets of R, UC Irvine Machine Learning Repository
    2. Know Your Data, Initial Overview Of The Data Set, Profound Understanding Of Your Data
    3. Where to Go Now.
    4. Prepare Your Workspace
    5. Prepare Your Data, Normalization, Training And Test Sets
    6. The Actual KNN Model
    7. Evaluation of Your Model
    8. Machine Learning in R with caret
