The objectives of the Applied/Engineering Physics Laboratory are to train and orient the graduating engineers towards experimentation skills coupled with scientific temper. To meet these objectives, the laboratory has well qualified dynamic faculty with trained supporting staff ready to train the students in Applied/Engineering Physics Laboratory covering a wide array of specialty topics such as optics, material sciences and solid state physics.
The laboratory is meant for cross-functionality and bridges the gap between theoretical science and practical engineering with emphasis on research and development, design, and analysis.
In order to foster scientific zeal and spirit of enquiry in students by letting them test and verify various theories and principles of chemistry, the college has well equipped, maintained, instrumental chemistry laboratory. The purpose is to impart elementary knowledge and basic practical techniques among the students. There students enjoy to analyses various skills of chemistry practical. The students are guided by the teachers and lab assistants to complete their experiments. Extra emphasis is given on safety measures for making learning a hassle free process.
English Laboratory is the pride of Vignan’s Institute of Engineering for Women by imparting value addition to lives of engineering students. It consists of two labs: one for Language Skills and the other, Communication Skills. More than 60 computer terminals with authorized language software are provided for hands on exposure and experience in the areas of Phonetics, Listening & Speaking skills. Further, budding engineers are trained in the domains of writing business & technical reports. All computers are provided with internet which facilitates the students to enhance their reading aptitude. In both semesters of the first year B. Tech. students are trained in language skills and communication skills. Presentation skills, Group Discussion & Debating skills, interview practice and conversation practice are ingrained to make them industry ready with employability skills. Several CD ROMs and Dictionaries are placed at hand for constant use of the students.
English Laboratory functions as an English Speaking Zone where its resources are utilized for Campus Recruitment Training to all the III and IV year students as well. In addition to the English Lab a well coordinated English Club – VIGNITE – acts as interface for students as well as faculty to exchange information and experiences in order to transform themselves as better individuals for the society.
